Hotel Lighting Control

A hotel is judged in the first ten metres — and lighting carries most of that impression. LUMIBRIGHT hospitality schemes layer warm architectural light with addressable control, so the lobby shifts through breakfast, day and evening scenes automatically while guestrooms give guests one-touch moods.

Designing the Scheme

01

Lobby and F&B scene choreography

Layered circuits — downlight wash, wall grazing, feature pendants, table accents — are grouped on DALI-2 so the operator schedules scene shifts across the day. High-CRI warm-dim options take restaurants from bright breakfast service to candle-adjacent evening levels on one fitting.

02

Guestrooms that feel effortless

Bedside master scenes (Welcome, Relax, Reading, Off) run on room control units with LUMIBRIGHT trimless downlights and cove profiles. Warm-dim drivers mean dimming feels incandescent, not grey.

03

Corridors, back-of-house and façade

Corridors dim to comfort levels after midnight on schedule with presence boost; BOH runs efficient functional light with DT1 self-test emergency. The façade takes DMX512/RDM wall-washing for brand scenes and national-day colour programmes.

Frequently Asked

Can guestroom lighting integrate with the hotel room management system?

Yes — guestroom fittings are specified with DALI or phase-dim drivers compatible with the RCU/GRMS platforms hotel operators standardise on; compatibility lists are issued per project.

How is the façade lighting controlled?

RGBW façade families run on DMX512 with RDM addressing, letting the operator program warm-white default scenes and event colour shows without physical access.

What about emergency lighting in guest areas?

DALI DT1 self-test emergency variants and 3-hour maintained packs are available across the core indoor families, aligned to BS 5266 / CIBSE LG12.

Can LUMIBRIGHT support a phased refurbishment?

Yes — consistent CCT/CRI batches and long-life ranges keep early and late phases visually matched; our team supports floor-by-floor rollouts through the Trade Program.

Specifying a hotel lighting control scheme?

Datasheets, control compatibility lists and project pricing are available to registered specifiers.
