Protocols, Dimming & Automation
Every LUMIBRIGHT family is offered with a defined set of control-ready driver options — from DALI-2 and tunable white DT8 to wireless Casambi mesh and KNX gateway integration. This page maps the protocols we support and where each fits.
Supported Ecosystems
Addressable digital dimming to IEC 62386. LUMIBRIGHT indoor families are available with DALI-2 certified drivers, and tunable-white variants use DT8 (Device Type 8) for single-address CCT + intensity control — the preferred pattern for BMS-integrated commercial schemes.
Best fit: Offices, hotels, retail and any project with a lighting control system or BMS head-end.
Simple two-wire analogue dimming for retrofit and cost-driven projects. Available across downlight, panel and linear families; smooth dimming typically to 10% (1–10V) or to off (0–10V) depending on the specified driver.
Best fit: Retrofit projects, warehouses and back-of-house where addressability is not required.
Mains-dimmable (trailing-edge preferred) driver options for residential and hospitality fit-outs where wall-box dimmers are specified. Compatibility lists for common UK and GCC dimmer modules are supplied with the datasheet.
Best fit: Residential, boutique hospitality, listed buildings with existing dimmer wiring.
LUMIBRIGHT luminaires integrate into KNX buildings through certified KNX–DALI gateways (e.g. one gateway per 64 DALI addresses). This is the standard architecture for villas and commercial projects in the UAE and KSA where KNX is the dominant automation bus.
Best fit: GCC villas, smart offices and hotels already running a KNX backbone.
Wireless commissioning with no control wiring — Casambi-ready driver options allow scene setting, grouping and scheduling from a phone or tablet. Ideal where containment is fixed or festoon/track layouts change seasonally.
Best fit: Galleries, retail display, refurbishments and magnetic track installations.
Selected residential families are available with Zigbee 3.0 driver options for integration with mainstream smart-home hubs. Tunable-white and RGBW variants expose colour control natively to the hub.
Best fit: Smart apartments and residential developments standardising on a hub ecosystem.
For façade, landscape and colour-changing schemes, RGBW families are offered with DMX512 control and RDM addressing. Pixel-level and zone-level architectures are both supported — the datasheet states channels per fixture.
Best fit: Façade lighting, fountains, stage-adjacent architectural colour work.
DALI DT1 self-test emergency variants and standalone 3-hour maintained/non-maintained emergency packs are available across core indoor families, aligned to BS 5266 / CIBSE LG12 requirements.
Best fit: Any UK commercial project — emergency variants are listed on each family datasheet.

Control availability is confirmed per SKU on each family datasheet. Emergency (BS 5266 / CIBSE LG12) variants are listed alongside standard drivers.
Gateway sizing, dimmer compatibility lists, DALI addressing schedules and commissioning support are available to registered specifiers through the Trade Program.
