OPSO Dubai marks a pivotal chapter in the brand’s evolution as its first international venture beyond the UK. Since its grand opening, this iconic destination has captured the attention of global royalty, celebrated artists, and supermodels, establishing itself as a hotspot for luxury and refinement. Recently, OPSO underwent a breathtaking interior redesign, entrusted to the visionary talents of Bishop Design, a renowned interior design studio. This transformation elevated the venue into a stunning day-to-night destination, epitomizing contemporary elegance and artistic innovation.

The reimagined space seamlessly balances contrasting elements to create a rich and dynamic atmosphere. By blending rustic and modern aesthetics, Bishop Design introduced a mix of materials and finishes, such as wooden parquet, black painted walls with a concrete stone effect, and metallic wooden accents enhanced with copper leaf detailing to mimic rustic brick. Antique brass balustrades and warm decorative touches amplify the space’s sophisticated charm, culminating in an ambiance that feels both polished and inviting. This transformation invites guests into an experience that evolves with the setting, making OPSO a versatile destination that captivates at every moment.

Studio N, a Dubai and London-based lighting design consultancy, has crafted an innovative and playful lighting scheme for OPSO’s much-anticipated transformation at the Dubai Mall. Nestled in the prestigious Fashion Avenue, the venue was reimagined by Bishop Design as a multisensory day-to-night dining destination, and Studio N’s lighting design elevates the experience by artfully balancing layers of light and dark. From the moment guests step into the starlit fiber-optic walkway, they are immersed in a dynamic interplay of motion-activated lighting, setting the tone for the dramatic journey ahead. This illuminated corridor not only heightens anticipation but also seamlessly leads visitors into the vibrant bar area, where lighting accentuates the rich textures, deep orange hues, and lush greenery, while recessed downlights and soft lines of illumination highlight key focal points like the open kitchen and architectural columns.

The restaurant continues this storytelling with a focus on indirect lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements its theatrical design elements. Integrated RGBW LEDs in the lattice-style ceiling pulse with color and light, keeping the space alive and energetic. The Shisha lounge, however, takes the ambiance to a new level with a celestial fiber-optic ceiling and vibrant orange RGBW cove lighting, reinforcing the brand’s signature aesthetic. Dynamic lighting in the all-red DJ and Shisha area incorporates moving head LEDs and laser effects that interact with the smoke from shisha pipes, crafting an otherworldly vibe. By combining subtle illumination with dramatic lighting features, Studio N enhances every facet of OPSO, ensuring a captivating and immersive experience that transcends its Dubai Mall location.
