Lighting controls compatibility
Control compatibility is a property of the driver, not of the luminaire family. This guide sets out what to check before the control specification is issued.

What specifiers ask
Is the exact driver supported?
Check the driver model, not the luminaire name. Phase-dimming, 0-10V, DALI-2 and wireless drivers behave differently, and two models in the same family can ship with different gear. Send us the driver code and the control system and we will confirm.
Is tunable white available with the selected control?
Tunable white needs a driver and a control channel that both support it — typically DALI DT8 or two-channel dimming. A tunable white luminaire on a single phase-dimming circuit will not change colour.
What causes flicker or drop-out at low level?
Usually a mismatch between the dimmer's minimum load or curve and the driver. Verify the combination in a mock-up at the lowest specified level before committing.
What should be recorded in the schedule?
Record the luminaire code, driver code, protocol and the minimum dim level for each circuit so site substitutions are visible.
