Brick and step lighting
Application inspiration · not a project reference
Integrated brick and step lighting should be planned with the surrounding construction. Compare the recess, visible aperture and distribution with the stair or pathway geometry. Avoid exposed bright sources at normal viewing positions. Confirm the model-specific environment rating and fixing method, and make the construction detail available beside the product selection.

How to compare recess, mounting height, glare and load where relevant
Recess
Confirm the back box or sleeve dimensions before the wall is built.
Mounting height
Low mounting lights the tread; higher mounting washes the wall.
Glare
Louvred and eyelid versions keep the source out of direct view.
Load
Where the fitting sits in a trafficked surface, confirm the load rating.
Environment rating
Check the IP and corrosion class for the exact model.
